One of the major advantages of mediation, other than its cost effectiveness, is that the parties participate in crafting an agreement with which they can live, not one which the Court has imposed on the parties after hearing only a limited amount of evidence. Timothy Forman is a certified mediator in child and family issues and can help the parties craft an agreement that both parties feel meet their needs. He has the ability to discern the parties' interests and translate those interests into an agreement which in the long run can benefit both parties as well as the children involved.
